Between Local and Global

We honor Sliman Mansour (1947 - 2026) and his gift for visual storytelling. A prominent Palestinian artst, his work not only documented Palestinian, it insisted on Palestinian life. His art protected what colonial violence seeks to erase; may he rest in power. Unfortunately, a fire has destroyed most of the property at Analog Dope and Raw Remedies Beauty Boutique. Please visit their website to purchase a book and find more ways to support this beloved community space. An investigative report in August reveals that Amazon is purchasing books in order to train its AI models. The process scans and ultimately destroys the books, which include rare texts, at a warehouse here in Las Vegas.
